Pfeiffer Syndrome Summary

Pfeiffer Syndrome Summary
Pfeiffer syndrome is a genetic disorder that results from the premature fusion of the sutures of the skull and deformity of the skull. Symptoms include bulging wide-set eyes, underdevelopment of the midface, broad, short thumbs and big toes, just to name some things. The name of the disorder comes from the guy who first described it, Rudolf Pfeiffer. Those who are effected can have craniofacial reconstruction surgeries to improve their looks and skull shape.
